On paper vs real life

Let's face it, tonight's UFC card was a snoozer on paper. Outside of the main event, there seemed to be no reason to watch these fights. Oh how wrong we were.

Fuck the ratings, tonight proved why the UFC is the premiere MMA organization. We saw lots of finishes, in competitive fights, and competitive fights that went to a decision. Not a single fight on this card was boring.

Tonight was a perfect example of why the UFC is #1. This was, on paper, their weakest card of the year so far. As it turns out, it was one of the best cards and produced a fight of the year candidate. Phone Post 3.0

Was there a debate about which org was #1? Even people who complain and/or hate the UFC don't make that argument. Phone Post 3.0

I think it just goes to show that familiar names don't mean shit. It's all about great fights. Phone Post 3.0
