One arm sleeve chokes

A few individuals with different arm disabilities recently asked me to think of some chokes they could use with their loose sleeve. Here are two of them.

So cool!

Rolled the last two practises with one hand in the belt. I've got serious respect for anyone that are doing BJJ with one arm, nevermind getting a black belt and then starting Judo!

ttt for Aaron!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing! Phone Post 3.0

Cool stuff, Aaron. I keep my sleeve rolled up, in order to prevent grabbing of it, but these are fun variations and would definitely be a nice surprise!

Yeah, initially I was thinking the same thing and was even going to tell the person that I would recommend that they roll the sleeve up or tuck it in so their partner couldn't grab itBut then I thought that rolling with the sleeve out could have some advantages.

1.  Use for submissions, immobilizations, and leverage for sweeps.

2. Assist you in developing a very strong base over time since people will inevitably grab the sleeve and not let go.

3. Give your partner a false sense of control when they grab the sleeve. For example, they may think they have good control of you and be suprised when their sweep doesn't work and/or you slide around them to pass.

Anyway, not sure if one particular way is better or not. What I am sure about though is that someone who rolls with the sleeve out will inevitable develop a different game than people like you and me who tuck the arm in or roll the sleeve up.
