Would this solve the problem. I've seen other threads where it says the rounds gsp won were close but the rounds Hendricks won he beat him up. That's what makes it hard to see gsp the winner. So would one round solve this? I'm not sure as both fighters could have their moments in that round. Just wanted the experts of the ug to weigh in.

First time I had a double post.
All they need to do is actually score by points.. As in make it much easier to score 10-10, 10-8 and even rarely a 10-7.. Hendricks would've won the fight because the rounds he won were clearly WAY better than GSP's rounds. That way they could account for more even and more lopsided rounds and we'd get a better result. They should also implement a sudden death round and make it much easier to score rounds as draws.
I love the idea. You'll see tons more submissions and finishes in general if they did this.
Very unlikely to occur in the US though.

It won't get approved by the athletic commissions for one.
But more importantly it would take steps back for the UFC. When Zuffa took over they made a lot of changes to bring in mainstream fans. Long rounds deter mainstream fans. They don't have the patience or the knowledge to watch a fight go to the ground and have it turn into a Ju Jitsu match. So while the real fight fans could appreciate it. The mainstream fans need the drama of the rounds saving the fighter.
Judge the fight as a whole...problem solved...

I get your idea but nobody is trying to fight for 30 mins straight lol. Fighters are human they need breaks in between for rest and coaching.
