I have lost over 100lb on my own. I have gained a good bit of muscle following 5/3/1 for 2 years. I am currently 18% bf as measured by calipers. I have been as low as 12% but I can not sustain it.
I am looking for an online nutrition coach to get me to 10% or lower. I have researched Precision Nutrition but enrollment with them does not start until July.
I am prepared to pay for this service. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Thank you for your time.
I've worked with John Meadows in the past with good success actually amazing success. He is expensive though. Before you go the online route, search around if you have someone local to you that has nutrition planning, not a dietician but someone who is physique oriented. Ask around in your gyms for competitors, and they can point you in the right direction. I feel you need one-on-one, face-to-face interaction to keep you honest. Plus they are cheaper. Most online guys are contest prep people, and their expertise may not be geared toward your goals as they are usually working under the assumption a client is using drugs while dieting. Always keep that in mind, and tell them upfront if you are or aren't as it does make a difference. Also stay clear of people who push supplements. I like John meadows because he suggested minimal supplements unless food prep was an issue, and he didn't try to sell you anything. He told you what type of supplements to use rather than giving you a specific brand.
Thanks for the tip. I have researched a few people I saw online. But as you said they are mostly geared towards competitors not the average Joe like me.
There is not much to work with where I am. I live in a very rural area and lift in a storage shed on my farm. That is why I am going the online route.
Email as many as you can and address your specific goals, etc. You will find one that can help you. I always ask if I can pay for 3 weeks of service upfront because you don't want to pay for 8-12 weeks of diet advice if your goals aren't compatible with theirs. Plus some guys sucks, and after 3 weeks you will know all you need to about whether or not you are working with the right guy for you.
I am interested in this as well
Dont do it.
Firemansam - Dont do it.Who do you recommend against it?

*why
You dont need to pay somebody to get you down in bf that's just ridiculous. Learn your own body what you need to eat on a daily basis to maintain your weight then eat a little less then that. Add in a little cardio and and your on your way. Shits not rocket science.
