I don't remember how many takedowns he had but I doubt it was only two. It's not like shield out classed him in the stand up, that's why he kept going for failed takedowns.

I think the stuffed takedowns should really be more respected. If a completed TD is worth so much, preventing one should be worth something. The way things are now its essentially a neutral event.
Akiyama won rds 1 & 2. He should have won the fight. Shields' whole gameplan was to take him down and he was stuffed constantly. Shields' striking did nothing as well. Bad decision, particularly to give it to Shields 3 rds to 0. Ridiculous.

Yeah Hioki won, but not 29-28. More like 30-26 . He dominated the first, an easy 10-8 (10-7 if I was making the rules), and nearly dominated the third.
As far as Akiyama and Shields, I could give a rip. They both sucked.
