Ontario adopts the NJ Rules, which have an outright ban on beards and only allow a “closely cropped mustache. “
I asked them if this is strictly enforced and they have softened up the requirement as follows:
Office of the Athletics Commissioner (OAC) policy is to require that a fighter have no more than a light beard during competition so that it does not interfere with a doctor’s ability to evaluate a facial injury / cut. Exceptions may be applied on the basis of the Ontario Human Rights Code to accommodate certain fighters. This policy will be applied to UFC 165 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on September 21, 2013.

I can honestly see Roy pulling out of the fight over it. I know that sounds crazy but I can see Roy doing it.

i doubt texas would even entertain that shit. Ontario is setting a bad precedent if this is true.
I see it's a trim... not a full shave. I can see a commission asking a fighter to clean it up but i doubt they can call for a clean shave.
That is stupid. These AC's are crazy sometimes. 
Texas doesn't call for a full shave, they have the following 'clean and tidy' requirement
“Each contestant must be clean and present a tidy appearance. The use of grease or any other foreign substance, including, without limitation, grooming creams, lotions or sprays, may not be used on the face, hair or body of a contestant. The referee or the Executive Director’s representative shall cause any foreign substance to be removed.” 
To be honest most fighters don't like it when fighters have a Nelson/Tanner/Kimbo type beard anyways.

Is that like cornrows or whatever? I guess that would work, I just think it is going to be lame seeing beard shaving and tattoo removal in MMA's future.
