Just curious to see a few opinions on what happened in this fight (Especially at around 40 seconds into the vid) 

This video is round one only (Hague went on to win by TKO in R2

The rematch happens april 4th in Edmonton

The rematch will likely look like a totally different fight. 1.5 years after the first.

Should be entertaining for fans anyways.

Am I supposed to comment on their lack of cardio or this crap that occurs at 40secs?

Well their cardio sucked BIGTIME.

Also the ref should have let a few more punches occur at the 40secs mark. There's NO taking a knee/8sec count like in boxing. You are supposed to wait until there's a lull in the action before replacing a mouthpiece. Cheap stoppage and a few more punches right then would have stopped this match before the 1min mark

^^ What I thought as well. You don't stop the fight when one guy is about 3 seconds away from finishing to put a mouthpiece back in. (And then take 50 seconds to get the fight going again)

The ref just saved tim in the first there,for his mouthpiece.Is that Edmontons finest ref messing another fight up?

As someone who has fought Tim I can tell you that despite that untimely referee intervention he could very well have gotten back into the fight... from what I've seen he can't really be knocked out. Someone should really post the second round it goes much better for Tim!

Edmonton straight up has the worst referee's this sport has in Canada. Absolutely clueless. A weekend clinic would be good.

Ref should have waited until the lull in the action to get the mouth guard put in.  even if it was boxing he should have waited for a lull.  I could not see on the little video screen, if it got punched out of Tim’s mouth?/o:p

 /o:pWhen things like that happen,  fighters get to know each referees style. Fighters  will spit the mouth guard out every time they are in trouble in mid fight, when they know this ref is in charge of there fight./o:p


 /o:pJust like fighters sometime have accidents in mid fight, ie. head butt or a accidental kick to the groin. Some times the ref’s make mistakes (with no mercy from the fans)./o:p


 /o:pReferee should doing their best to improve and be their best. /o:p
