Orthotics in Sambo Shoes?

Hi all,

I just bought some Sambo shoes on recommendation of my podiatrist (not from him, bought the shoes elsewhere).

I have a foot problem, and I've had orthotics for about 13 years now. He wants me to wear a shoe or "leather sock" fo sorts to put my orthotic in while grappling.

Has anyone here worn an orthotic or arch support in Sambo shoes? I know Sambo shoes are soft, so I dunno how this is gonna work. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, I've had a student insert them with no problems.
