Other huge comeback wins (re: Tito)?

Shogun had a great comeback from the Forrest loss but he was still young and he didnt go thru a stretch of losses.

Randy obviously made a career out of huge comeback wins.

But who other than Tito has come back with such a huge win against a legit opponent that late in his career after such a string of losses?

Sakurai had a decent comeback with wins over Pulver and Hansen.

Hughes had somewhat of a resurgence but it wsnt against an opponent on the level of Bader (Renzo, Almeida, barely got past Serra).

Henderson never really fell off (he's sorta been up and down throughout his career).

So any other huge comeback wins late in career other than Randy?

tuscherererererer isnt super legit so mark hunt doesnt work

did overeem have 3 losses before beating buentello?  is buentello considered legit?

Chris Leben over the past 18 months

 wand vs jardine?

Shamrock over Kimo. I'm to lazy to research it but I don't think Ken had been setting the world on foire Phone Post

NOT ONE of these matches listed are as significant. Wand was half expected to beat Jardine.

It's just not really something that we've seen in years. Tito was a 4/1 underdog, so to be truthful:

This is 2X the upset of Shogun beating Machida.

1.5X the upset of Rashad beating Chuck.

It's pretty big.

To me, this would be akin to Matt Hughes dropping and submitting Fitch.

This would be like Tim Sylvia or Andrei Arlovski beating Junior Dos Santos.

This would be like Rampage beating Jon Jones by superman punch KO.

This was a 'uge win!

I agree with top 3 greatest career turn around win at all time. To be more truthful, this is more significant than Randy beating Timmy after being KO'd by Chuck. Randy beating Tim surprised me less than this.

True to an extent though dont think he's beaten a single opponent on the level of Bader. Sexy and Wand are big names but in reality not on Bader's level at the time.

However, aside from the loss to Stann, Leben def is on the comeback. Was this after his loss to Bisping who ironically enough lost to Wand? I was pretty shocked that Stann out brawled/mauled Leben but imho I thoguht Leben looked pretty sluggish that fight.

Randy vs Tim.I was so sure Randy was gonna get killed by Timmmay.Randy was KO'd bad 2x by Chack @205.Timmmay cuts to 265 and Randy fresh off retirement.

edit:ooops.sorry, didn't read the last part about aside from Randy.

Deuce77 - Tito's comeback win has got to be one of the top 3 greatest of all time.

What are the other top ones in your opinion?

Randy, i think we can agree, kinda stands in his own category and owns probably the top 5 himself?

Pretty much this.

What about Randy over Chuck I/Tito/Gonzaga/Randleman/Rizzo 1 and 2/Vitor 3?

I guess there was Coleman's comeback at the Pride GP but i dont think he was as old or in a string of losses like Tito. Coleman did beat the #1HW at the time in Igor however but of course there was the bit uneven terms he did it under.

Forrest came from a win over Hector Ramirez but was KO'd bad by Jardine before that,he was the TUF posterboy and Shogun was the Messiah that was supposed to rape the whole LHW division of the UFC.Pride>UFC was everyones thought back then, and no one thought a TUF fighter would even be in the same league as Shogun.

comparing it to Matt Hughes dropping and submitting Fitch?  that's just silly

bader is not the proven beast that fitch is.

Maybe not right on but Bader is/was on the upperside of the top LHWs.

Five Finger Death Punch - Hunt's knockout was boss and for sure a comeback win. <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

He did not beat a significant opponent and who was surprised taht Hunt could KO that guy anyhow?

Tito dropped and tapped Bader.

You hurt?

Sorry man but Tursherer and Bader are not on the same level. You should probably get over that fact first.

Johnonguitar - No love for Vlad knocking out Brilz like a da? <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Not a bad one. Def thought Vladdy was on the way out and Brilz on the way up.

Foreman over Moorer tops it, but that's boxing. Phone Post

easily Mark Coleman winning the entire Pride GP
