Overeem looked like shit and I would like to hear anyone's rationale for picking him to not get annihilated by Cain or JDS after watching tonight's fight. Both those guys have way better standup than Werdum, are far faster, have vastly more power, and better cardio; Cain has infinitely better takedowns, and after seeing JDS easily take down Carwin, I think he probably does, too.

What annoyed me was that Overeem was even afraid to do any GnP on Werdum. He was so afraid to get caught a la Fedor that the minute Werdum opened his guard, Overeem disengaged.

Werdum threw more and landed more than Overeem did, there's no way around it.
Overeem would've needed a clean KO off of a counter to look good in this fight, and he really didn't have much of a chance at landing one.
