I have read some threads suggesting V.Silva might be able to unseat Fedor. Nope.
I just watched the Pride last night and Overeem has all the tools.
I would however love to see Silva matched up with Liddel once and for all. A superfight for the ages. All orgs egos aside there is no reason this fight couldn't happen.
Overeem had issues with conditioning at 205. I wonder if he still does at HW? He won't beat Fedor anyway though. I don't think Fedor is in the OW GP plus Fedor trained Overeem for his fight with Kharitonov.

He beat a one arm man. Any decent fighter should have tooled Kharitonov in that situation.
As for all the tools, no, he doesn't. THe guy has no hands. He would get KO'ed if he stood with Fedor. OUtside of some random flying knees, Overeem has a weak stand up game, mainly because he fights like a dumbass standing up.
Overeem kicked the shit out of Kharitonov for the WHOLE first round and didn't look any weaker when the bell rang.
I believe he can also handle Arlovski.
I'm very impressed with Overeem. Like Fedor, he has tremendous athleticism. With that said, he's not gonna get anywhere without cardio.

Overeem could be awesome, he just needs an auxiliary gas tank installed.

also shane, people are drawing attention to the fact that as Sergei was taken down, he completely fucked his right shoulder.
The reason Overeem looked so dominant was that Kharitonov could actually survive for that long with essentially 1 arm.
I do agree however that Alistair looked good, but he wasn't tested.

Kind of ironic they called this event unbreakable .. Sergei and Shogun got , well, broken.
I think Arlovski would beat him, but I agree that Allistair is a badass. He'll do better at heavyweight because his opponents will be slower. That's why Igor was better as a heavyweight than at 205. I'd like to see Overeem vs. Thompson or Aleks E next.

I saw that he weighed in at 228 for this fight. What was Sergei's weight? He looked a little pudgy in the gut.
Overreem looked good in this fight because everything went his way. If he had to actually fight against somebody say... with use in both arms he'd have gassed.
He always gasses. He's not gonna have better cardio up 20lbs.
Overeem is skilled and dangerous. But has demonstrated that when the match turns into a fight, his chances dwindle. Since he is very talented he is able many times to keep the match onesided, but when his opponent starts to give it back, he seems to wilt.
