Overeem v Carwin at 140

HH has hinted this in another thread. Great fight if true, who do you have?

I'm a big fan of both but after Carwin's outing with JDS, I have to favor Overeem on this one. The big factor in this, though, is if Carwin comes to wrestle he can certainly sway the fight hia way. Overeem is virtually untested against Wrestlers, in this sense with Carwins added KO power, this fight is extremely interesting. Phone Post

I don't think either of them could make 140. They are both very large men and it would be very unhealthy for them to cut to such a weight.

The UFC doesn't cut breaks like that.  Carwin's performance against JDS isn't a good indicator.  Coming off surgery, he had 6 weeks in the gym getting in shape to fight BJJ specialist Einemo, then was given 25 days notice to switch up to striker JDS.  He matches up better with Overeem.  That said, it's a very tough fight.  Typical of Shane, the minute it came out that Overeem may be on his way in, he twittered White asking for the fight.

This fight doesnt happen. Overeems striking is light years ahead of Carwin the JDS showed that, its like a raw amatuer verses a world class striker. True Carwin has power that can change any fight or stop anybody but he won't land on someone as experienced as Overeem. If the UFC cares about Carwin this won't happen.

I know. If the UFC wants it to be a catchweight so badly (probably to avoid title implications), there are much more sensible weights for them to fight at.

Lets be realistic here guys, Overeem looked horrible vs Werdum and the fact that he hasn't beaten anyone in the last few years thats even worth mentioning.. I mean I know he is a good kickboxer and such, but come on.. Do you honestly think he belongs in the elite of the UFC's heavies? I know the division is farily weak, but Reem hasn't done anything to prove he belongs in title contention in the UFC

 Overeem almost always leaves his chin open when he come's in, I think Carwin can get a pretty quick KO in this fight.  I think Overeem is exciting but a little overrated right now.
