Pacquaio... Best Fighter? Right...

How in the hell does Manny win this year's ESPY?

This has to go to Jon Jones. He took out a prime Bader and CHAMPION Shogun Rua... handily.

Pacquaio beat Margarito and SHANE MOSLEY? Is this 2003?

I'm calling bullsh*t.

Lol- does it matter? Phone Post

Tito Ortiz, who hasn't won a fight in five years, also JUST handily beat Ryan bader. And in less time. Your argument for jones is somewhat null, as far as using bader as an example. Phone Post

^and he's gonna KO Rashad also(or sub) in a month.

Maybe..
He better be working on his wrestling. Phone Post

Jones would beat the piss out of that midget.

Boxing competition is far deeper than UFC competition.

 This...

Sorry UFC fanboys, but since 2008 Pac beat Margarito, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, DLH, & Shane Mosley.  He didn't just beat them, he dominated them ALL.

Anyone think Anderson's opponents Maia, Belfort, Sonnen (which Silva lost 4 rds), Leites, Cote, Griffin, Irvin = Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Hatton, DLH, & Mosley ???  Henderson was his best win in 2008.

Or Dan Hardy, Jake Shields, Josh Koscheck, LW BJ Penn, Thiago Alves ???? Jon Fitch clearly GSP best win in 2008.

No......

Pac is the best fighter in combat sports right now, imo....

UltraMagnus - LOL at Manny fighting guys coming off loses, weight drains, and fixed fights.......

Cotto / Margarito are the best that Pac beat, IMO...

Clottey was a dangerous mo-fo and I thought Pac might be in trouble, but nope.

Hatton had only one loss and Pac Ko'ed him in two round, never to return to boxing again...

Mosley & DLH are past primes, but still were dangerous.  Mosley coming off loss to Mayweather, but an amazing win against Margarito with loaded gloves..

Fuck duckiao... Jones is the fighter of the year Phone Post

I feel like you can't do fighter of the year and have boxing and mma included. Should be 2 seperate categories. And Pac fights PBF's leftovers, how does that make him fighter of the year?

NarlyPersianDude - My vote would have gone too Jose Aldo, he beat Mike Brown Uriah Faber and Mark Hominick, all top of the line fighters, and he did it showcasing a variety of skills.

Manny is far and away the p4p best boxer, and his Margarito win put him up there top 5 alltime in my book, and the Moseley win was impressive but I dont think it was enough.

Also, when you mix boxing and mma, it becomes insanely tough to really fairly pick a winner. It's not as clear cut as it needs to be, and it's not fair to both sports.

Oh and Allistiar popped in my head, he won the k1 grand pri and beat Duffee and Werdum in mma, that should mean something. How about George Petryosan. The more and more I think about this, the more compicated it is to really pick a deserved winner. Oh well
far and away the best p4p boxer? in what universe? don't talk boxing, dude, b/c you have NO IDEA what you're talking about...

Pacquaio is certainly the best P4P boxer currently, he has moved up and won championships in how many weight classes...8,9?

Historically, how many other boxers have won that many championships in different weight classes?

ESPN carries boxing, it doesn't carry MMA.

There's your answer.

Elite boxers are still far more mainstream in the U.S. than elite ultimate fighters.

Sergio Martinez deserves it more than Pacquiao.

No, just no. Hominick wasn't even ranked, and Aldo didn't impress me in that fight. Faber and Brown are both irrelevant in that division.

I bet most Americans couldn't name a single boxer under 40. People have heard about people like Ali and Foreman.

Teh Spider - I lol'd at prime Bader <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

me too

As far as boxers go, Sergio Martinez has had a more impressive recent run than Pacquiao.
