All this basically saying Pete's a piece of shit who just wants to rip people off anyway he can and ensure his team will win even if it means not being fair with the points system. You get sick of it after a while.
As for Cam, I have nothing against him, all I said is he keeps referring to the clubs like hybrid being registered separately as an error which it clearly isn't. Those clubs are paid members with the afbjj and as such their names are given among the options listed for selecting a team to represent.
Also, I'm a big believer in not having to use your real name on a forum. Thats the good thing about them, you can have your say and remain anonymous. I wouldn't expect the people who bash Pete on here to go and say it to his face.

I'm sorry but it just sounded like the same snide remarks DIMA makes implying Pete makes sure that his team wins even if it means fiddling with the final scores. Maybe I interpreted it wrong.

Yep AJJA all registered correctly. They are 3 academies. We probably had over 10 academies and since it's a new way of registering the head coaches were unaware of the situation.
The mistake won't be repeated.
It should be rectified BUT it WON'T be and we all know why...

This is a very controversial topic to say the least and it's only in our nature to stick up for our own respective coaches.In saying,their are a lot off non Peter de been affiliates and competitors disgruntled at the way the pan pacs have been going over the years.Weather or not the ones in charge have the desire to change results or not there are some cold hard facts that need to be addressed.I myself would like to see the level of reefing lifted.I mean I'm not sure what Pete makes and don't really care but each year the cost rises the numbers rise and the number off days you need to allocate to have off work so you can compete rises also.All I'm saying is can the level of ref rise with everything else cause it seems to be stagnant and has been for some time.If Pete is making enough in overheads etc is it possible to pay for decent experienced refs?And I'm not having a dig at Angus Friend I personally don't know the guy but I would hope and I think he is doing his best.Ps I know a lot off competitors are unfamiliar with the rules themselves but it's up-to you and your coaches training peers etc to be familiar it's at your own advantage.Nothing to do with the thread at hand sorry.

The Pan Pacs were perfect!! Referee was perfect! The cost was very good ( too cheap I heard some people say!!)

A couple of the refs in the past have been appalling. I was under the impression that this pan pacs had much more experienced people reffing. Still, a lot of people who carry on from the sidelines don't understand the rules properly.
Things like takedowns, points are apparently awarded if the opponents arse hits the ground. Yet often when this happens, and the guys arse hits the ground for a just for a second and he gets straight back up, people go off their faces screaming at the ref because he awarded points. In a sense it doesn't look like a takedown because he didn't really get taken down fully, but according to the rules points are to be awarded.
Results STILL have not been changed! I think Cam may aswell give up... Unfortunate really.
Also very unfortunate Moles is so one eyed and can't see the truth.
I addressed the issue of Sinisoc/Perosh. They were unaware and are cancelling their AFBJJ membership so that they will be included under the Will/Machado banner..
Reffing will always be a controversial issue. But I did see a guy go for an armbar on the mount, the guy underneath defended and got to his knees ending up in the guard...he got 2 points for the sweep :(
Yeah, heard about the white belt reffing, thats mad that he was ALLOWED to.
Also some other notables, saw two guys choked completely out with refs oblivious, one guy using a head and arm to snap someone down got disqualified for "neck cranking" after he'd just had his shorts deemed "in breach of regs" and had to pay $$ for a set on the spot just so he could get on the mat(saw many others who's garb breached the rules but didn't get pulled, hmmm) and most hilariously the guy who got told he tapped when he did a breakfall.
So Pete if you ever get the chance to read this or one off your guys passes the message on,How would you feel paying that entry fee to be disqualified by a ref with no idea?I know how I would feel NOT HAPPY JAN!Please try to tighten up the ref situation?

I find the post about people being made to purchase shorts in order to compete very funny... It is clearly a cash grab deal with KORAL and PDB... NO GI ran absolutely fine the last few years without the new dictatorship on uniforms...
Then perhaps we should just leave it and not attempt to improve anything from now on so whitebelt keyboard warriors, who have never run/organized a comp that wasn't run in their mums basement, have something to whinge anonymously about?
DIMA, Nowhere was it stated that you had to purchase koral rash guards. You are entitled to your opinion yes but avoid making those sorts of statements it makes you look really stupid. As for the other issue, corrections were made and unfortunately for Cam and the Will/machado organization they came up short. Bad luck but don't suggest that Peter would deliberately change the results so his team wins. That is a very big statement that is borderline slanderous. Bringing someones character and integrity into question is poor form. I'm sure ghat in light of what Cam and the rest now know it will not happen again. I for one am looking forward to next years event, it should be a great contest!
I do have a question for Cam though about Hybrid Training Centre in Hobart, they are not listed as affiliates on the machado/Bjj Australia website. Are they an individual club or are they an affiliate club? Apparently they mentioned that they weren't. Can you clarify?
