Bellator’s fifth show of its upcoming 11th season has a location, as well as its first fight.
A welterweight bout between Karo Parisyan (24-10 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) and former DREAM champion Marius Zaromskis (20-8 MMA, 4-2 BMMA) has been booked for Bellator 127 in Temecula, Calif. A Bellator official confirmed the fight booking to MMAjunkie on Thursday after it initially was announced by Zaromskis’ home gym, American Kickboxing Academy, on Twitter.
Bellator 127 will take place Oct. 3 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, a regular stop for the promotion. The main card will air on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com. A Bellator official told MMAjunkie the event’s main card is expected to be released by the promotion this week.
Parisyan is coming off a brutal TKO win over fellow Phil Baroni at Bellator 122 a month ago. It was his second straight win for the promotion following a knockout of Ron Keslar at Bellator 116 that got him back on track after a loss to Rick Hawn in his promotional debut at Bellator 95.
Zaromskis got back on track at Bellator 119 with a unanimous decision win over Vaughn Anderson. That snapped a two-fight skid that saw him knocked out by Andrey Koreshkov in the Season 7 welterweight tournament semifinals and outpointed by Brent Weedman in the opening round of the Season 8 tourney. Prior to those losses, he had win five straight fights, including his first three in Bellator.
