I've heard a few people call Pat Barry a K1 legend, but I don't see how that is justifiable. I have looked at his K1 record and his biggest wins have come against Goodridge, Scott Lighty and Rickard Nordstrand? He hasn't even won a K1 world grand prix qualifying tournament, although he did reach the semis twice. Am I missing something or are these people just misinformed like I thought? I love Pat Barry but I just don't see how you can put him up there with the likes of Leko, Bonjasky, Aerts and Schilt.

I wish I could remember, it was an announcer outside of the UFC and his partner just agreed with him, I coulnd't believe what I was hearing. I wish I remembered who it was, and I don't want to geuss and smear somebody's name.
Barry was good nothing special. Great for mma tho outstanding for mma
mrdeezy - LoL he's good enough to compete in k1 but success was highly limited.
Hopefully mark hunt will show him about k1 level striking in the UFC soon.

This is tame compared to when Rogan used to say when anybody threw a sloppy ass legkick or strike that they "Had K-1 Level striking."
Pat Barry is a great striker but it's offensive to actual K1 legends to consider Barry to be one
