well not really main event as it's an all ammy card - but I need a really good 155er and I hear you'll put on a hell of a show and come to fight. let me know. thanks, ma
I know this isn't directed at me, but Pat is like Joey; maybe 150 sopping wet.
well have his people get in touch with my people (me)
I thought he fought Coley at 155 and heard nothing but good things. And I need a good ballsy guy to fight a 3-2 guy - James Stuck out of Atlanta. If any of you saw him fight on our 1st two cards - he really likes fighting for us and thinks we treat the fighters fair.
Since this is a Sunday show, I am looking to put more local guys on the card, but not against each other. Honestly this would help me finish out our card and we're hoping for a sell out. 24 VIP tables, 4?? VIP floor seats and about 350 Balcony seats. Great exposure and good time.
Also I didn't see PF fight but have heard nothing but good. I do try and pair up fighters well. I need his height and it would be up to him or not to fight James. I hate making this so public but don't know how to get in touch with him and if he doesn't want to fight for us or think this is good - I'll respect that.
As for the shitty things he said to me - well he said shitty things to alot of people and we were just part of the chosen ones. Maybe he was just getting his jollies and a big laugh. If he wins then I'll look good for helping him get more exposure, if he loses maybe I'll get my jollies. j.k.
serious offer. lawdymama
one more thing - we start selling the tables on Monday - they run $400 / seats 8 - for $100 more per table you get UNLIMITED ALCOHOL SERVED. let me know if any of you are interested. later, ma
thanks, I am of the opinion that if you get 2 guys with the same weight, very close in height and close record or fight style - that they could fight over and over and it could go either way. Good example is Joey and Glen Siegal - this is where my theory went to shit. Joey won all 3 fights, now they were good fights. Skip's opinion on this was that Joey just had Glen's number and knew how to finish him.
James Stuck is the 6' kid with the pink mohawk that fights for Mark Bailey. good wrestling background and most thing to his advantage is that he's just limber as hell and he is a good grappler. He was the one that fought in the next to last fight and lost to Bryan Goldsby.

and yes he did almost finish Bryan with a hell of an armbar - when I saw Bryan getting out of it, I thought oh shit Bryan is going to hurt him now and that he did. popped him hard in the face and really rocked James. that was a great fight. great fights take two great fighters, even though one lost, it took both of them to bring that level of excitement.

6 feet tall? Bad matchup IMO. Pat would be giving up: experience, 6" in height, and weight.
That's what I needed to know - and I like for them to have about 3 inches height difference. Also sometimes with amateurs records don't matter that much if they have the same fighting style. i.e. -on our last card - Jeremy Kilgore vs Joey Nadler - Joey only had 2 fights to Kilgores 10 fights. But it didn't bother Joey and personally thought they fought identical styles and while Joey did lose, he almost won, put on a very exciting fight and didn't go home and cry about it. It was still a good match up and a great fight. I'm having a harder time matching Joey with a 1-2 record because he hits like a mule and he's a decent fighter. That's the kind of thing I'm getting about PF - but if he's fighting in Dec, and not comfortable with this fight; may not be a good fight for him. I don't like fighters that take fights ONLY IF THEY CAN WIN. I want fighters that will take FAIR FIGHTS and if this isn't a fair fight; I respect that.
Our guys take a lot of guff for their losses, but if you've ever seen them fight; they come to fight and have a great time. It would be different if they were trying to make a career out of this (none are). It would be different if they were shitty fighters (they're not). I'd rather have every one of them fight exactly as they have because they are sincere in fighting and we usually pair them up with better opponents - not worse. They don't goof off in class, they listen and they won't give up-even in a loss. I think you have some fighters that just see the big picture - others take a little longer to "get it".

160!!? Must be that "old man" weight...
Well to be fair, he must have ate a pound of wings last night.
thanks for the response. and if the height isn't right or the opponent, that's your right and as I said I'll respect that. but it should be your call and those that are looking out for you. I'm not trying to set you up, don't do that to or for anybody. But I do want an exciting finish as we've done in the past and to give you credit, sounds like you could bring it. Above all else I want it to be a fair fight. Let me know if you're still game - I may have another 155er (shorter) on the hook and will find out about that as well and think he has around 3 fights. if you don't want to air it here - email me at justadamngdcook@yahoo.com
