Shemhazai -
drx604 - just wondering regarding leg position... Is it better to trap the arm using the leg closer to the opponents head or the one closer to the opponents legs... Ie... in the video above, the left leg or right leg? And why? I feel I can have better control using my left "lower" leg... But does it really matter? <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

According to Marcelo, it's easier to escape when the leg closer to the opponent's legs is trapping the arm. If he ends up trapping the arm like that, he always tries to switch so the leg closer to the head is trapping the arm, locking the triangle closer to the opponent's legs.

Thx... I was having trouble keeping that far arm trapped with my legs. Phone Post

Didn't he just leave Kaijin in Santa Cruz a few months ago?

I left mid April 2010 but I try to visit when I can. Phone Post

Wow been that long? Guess I am getting old seeing time fly by like that. Never was a student there(live in SLO county) but would try to drop in when in the area. You guys would always show well at the US Open too. Good luck to you with your new endeavor.
