PETA condemns WBC's Money Belt

Well, this was about as inevitable as the outcome of tomorrow night's fight. PETA has just emailed me to express their outright condemnation of the WBC's 'Money Belt' which will be awarded to the winner of Mayweather-McGregor. The belt, specially created by the WBC, is made from crocodile skin and an unthinkable number of precious stones.

PETA's official statement from Vice President Colleen O'Brien reads:

"While boxers choose to enter the ring and fight, crocodiles and other animals killed for their skin simply want to be left alone, and PETA is calling on World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman never to use animal skins as prizes again. No crocodile should be bludgeoned, cut open, or skinned alive to hang in a boxer's trophy room—or for any other reason."

Will there be animal rights activists protesting outside of the MGM Grand? Will Conor McGregor do the unthinkable and separate Floyd Mayweather from consciousness? All answers to all questions will be unveiled tomorrow night.

Meh, crocodiles are bred in massive quantities for both skin and meat purposes without harming numbers in the wild.
