Windshield tip- I use a razor blade that is meant to peel off wallpaper on the exterior glass. A little windex as lube and that blade will get all the debris off. When cleaning the inside glass the trick is to sit in the passenger seat. Sit in the seat and spray some window cleaner on a micro-fiber towel meant for windows not the exterior of your car. Invert your hand like someone is twisting your arm off. Palm should face the windshield. Wipe windshield down, reverse towel for a streak free clean. If you don't have any windex or other suitable window cleaner. Mix some ammonia with warm water and use black and white newspaper. The newspaper won't leave streaks and make sure you don't use colored paper, has to be black and white. 
Also you can clean your windshield using old pieces of that clay bar that you should have used for the exterior of your car, just make sure not to use it on your paint afterwards. The debris will scratch your paint job. Wd-40 will get asphalt off the exterior of your car along with spray paint. Just make sure to wipe off immediately.

The best thing to clean a windshield is really fine steel wool. Worked in a shop and that's what the detailer used. Spray with glass cleaner and rub the shit out of it with the steel wool wipe good to go.
Fuck ya, spray MAF cleaner all over that sensor then just reinstall it.
(Or wait for it to dry and also make sure not to touch the sensor wires, steel mesh, themselves so you dont have to buy a new one after you just fucked this job up!)
