Places to train in LA

Anyone know where the best place in LA to train is? I will be there for work and I am looking for a non-competetive atmosphere. I will be staying in Beverly Hills. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

PKG gym is pretty close to you

Does Rickson teach there often, or is the school mostly run by his students? How about LA boxing? What is the deal with that?

Rickson moved to brazil I was told.

There is Legends and many other places.

Thanks for the info....Any suggestions with surfing out there? I would love to hit the beach. is there a good place to go this time of year?

Thanks alot guys. I appreciate the tips. Im def excited for my trip.

Any thoughts on what other sites I should see when Im out there?

Santa Monica Promenade is always fun.

If you want to go Gracie, try the new academy in Torrance. It is huge and the intruction is always with a Gracie black belt.

Plus, they don't push a UFC wannabe mentality. Lot of guys train just because they love JJ and it's a supportive atmosphere.

10th planet over there in legends

JJ teaches pretty much every class .

You will love it at www.reydiogo.com

Try all of the schools out and see which vibe matches your own.

Hey King,
Ill only be there for a week. Although, I would check out multiple schools, I would love to just hang at one...get to know the guys etc. I am a purely JJ guy. Not into MMA as much. Ideally, I would love to train with Rickson, but if he wont be there then Id like to check out someplace else. I rented a car but since im not too familiar with everything, I dont want to drive all that far. Hope this helps. thanks again guys I really appreciate all the tips.

would highly recommend Ryron and Rener Gracie at the Gracie Academy for a friendly, non-competitive environment with extremely good jiu-jitsu instruction - www.gracieacademy.com

Some of the other schools mentioned on this thread I have found to be very competitive and/or unsafe

What are you looking to train? BJJ? MMA? Boxing? Muay Thai?

PKG you will get it all. Plus the facility is really nice and the prices are
good.
