No. Hendricks did not land more significant strikes in round 1. Fightmetric measured Hendricks landing one more total strike and GSP landing one more significant strike.
GSP was the only fighter with a submission attempt in the round. And Johny even gave a phantom tap...you can argue all you want the submission "wasn't close", but it was certainly closer to any submission than Johny put on GSP.

I'm not going by fight metric or anything of the sort. Actually watch Round 1 again and tell me that GSP landed more significant strikes and that Hendricks didn't show much more effective striking...
