What? Dustin is kill or be killed. That’s literally what he is known for. His entire career
Fights with Holloway, Oliveira, Gaethje, Chandler, Hooker, Cub, Miller, Alvarez, Pettis… all wars. Already went to war with Gaethje once and stopped him.
I guess he was the “kill” in that fight
Lmao…what fight was this?
He is tough no doubt. I just don’t see the same sense of aggression or violence. Maybe it is because he is far more technical, accurate, patient, etc. than Gaethje. His approach comes off as polished and cerebral versus wild and violent. Just my opinion, but they have very different approaches and that is what informs my perception.

Yeah he is more polished but he’s basically a technical brawler. I get what you’re saying but you can be technical and still be violent. The two are not mutually exclusive. Gaethje is probably the most violent fighter in the UFC and Dustin out-violenced him.
Much like Weidman broke Silva’s leg & then had his broken in the same fashion, this fight will end with Dustin’s lower leg breaking ala Conor. I don’t want it, but that’s how it ends.

I think this is gonna be one of those fights that we remember as the one where one of these guys were never the same after. I think DP should try to choke Justin and not fight him all night. But this fight is going to be bananas until someone breaks.
I pick DP
Honestly, I do not recall the details of the first fight. I am basing my perspective on watching them both since they began in the UFC and the total body of work for each. If I go back and watch the first fight, I might have a change of perspective based on that alone. Cheers.
I’m a bit torn on who too root for here.

Word my brother. Cheers to you as well.
I watched the first fight today, thought Justin won every round until getting stopped in the 4th, although he lost a point in the 3rd. He was well on his way to winning that fight but i think he underestimated Dustin’s power.
Both guys are near the end of their careers and have talked about retiring soon, so it’ll be interesting to see who is hungrier to win this fight.
Im not a big Dustin or Justin fan but I love watching them fight.
Dont even know who to root for.
Since their first fight, I think Justin has shown more improvement than Dustin. Dustin has been pretty solid since that fight but Justin has made serious changes to his energy management, his ability to make adjustments mid-fight, and his overall fight IQ.
I picked DP because he’s my Louisiana home boy but Justin is as dangerous as it gets at LW. Justin may have made enough improvements find Dustin’s chin.
I just feel like we’re gonna get see a brutal, bloody war that we will remember for a long time. A pound of flesh.

A pound of flesh should be the fucking slogan for this event
UFC 291: A Pound Of Flesh
I agree. If anything, Justin has become more technical and measured in his approach. Dustin was always skilled, crafty, technical, you name it. His only shortcomings were confidence and the elite skills against the likes of Khabib. On the other hand, Justin had wild confidence and threw caution to the wind. Justin has learned to be patient and to slow things down and be more technical. You are spot on in your analysis. That is what makes this fight so interesting.
Michael Johnson
who too root
That’s the name of my new mixtape
Ahhhh the classic “he was winning till he lost” line.
