I personally would suspend both Diaz brothers for a min of 1 year as the athletic commission and levy a 25k fine....In Coker's shoes and the athletic commissions shoes, I would revoke the corners licenses of each corner man involved in the melee/brawl whom was throwing punches/kicks and what not and fine them each 5k.
I dont think shields should face any fine/suspension since he only pushed Mayhem, who did butt in on his interview. Mayhem should get a 5-10k fine for being involved in the brawl, even in a defensive mode, but no suspension.

i felt kinda bad for shields..he seemed pretty emotional afterwards. its not like he asked for the whole thing to happen, im sure he was still fired up in primal mode seeing as how he just finished his fight. i think after the whole thing went down he realized he just made a huge mistake.
mayhem..not much to say. horrible, horrible timing..he didnt really ask for that to happen though lol. if i were coker i wouldnt really hold him responsible. id give him a scolding but thats about it (thankfully mauro took care of that for us ;D)
i think most punishment should just be directed towards gil and the cornermen..they were the ones tryin to brutalize mayhem. suspension sounds good to me..fining them..i dunno about that. getting those clowns outta there and preventing these kinda things is a must.

yes he was out of place and it wasnt very tactful.... but it was a way to stay in the spotlight and create a buzz about a rematch..... is that a crime? no

Let's face it.
Miller is a clown, everyone knows it. He was asking for trouble all week, throwing his shirt on the ring girl, thunder stealing, being Mayhem.
But to have a " champion" jump in on a gang beatdown was just horrible.He should be fined. Diaz should be suspended and Melendez should be fined as well.
I would expect that in the ghetto, but on national tv?

The biggest problem is that suspending anyone puts you at odds with one or more of your biggest stars. Maybe blame it on the ref or something ridiculous lol.

Yes Mayhem got into his personal space, but Shields pushed him into a banner and as Melendez tried to move/push Mayhem away, Shields started throwing.
I blame Team Cesar Gracie. Mayhem would have just looked like a dick if they blew it off. Luckly Mayhem is friends with quest or he would have taken more damage imo.

1. Team CG definitely escalated the situation and should be dealt with.
2. I don't believe Mayhem was sent in by Strikeforce; if he was, Strikeforce should be dealt with for leaving him unescorted and allowing him to completely detract from the show with a disrespectful challenge.
3. The commission if they allowed Mayhem to enter the cage uninvited and left him unescorted.
4. Mayhem for sparking the entire situation that was escalated in the same thuggish and low class flavor he started it with.
As with any problem solving, you attack the root. And LOL @ that being the standard type of challenge we see in MMA.
