I've got several PMs to post pics from Afghanistan and such but my dumbass can't seem to get it done.
I even got a photobucket account which I should'nt have, ( I don't like social media, i.e. facebook, twitter, etc.) due to my job.
I only come on the UG and that's it. Can someone PM me the dummies guide to posting photos, step by step?
Also, if you were in Ireland for the UFC, post some damn pics! I'm finally watching the Prelims and still up at 4 am EST before I have to go back to Bragg. Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Step 1: Upload the pic to your photobucket account.
Step 2: Right click and copy the link to the pic from your photobucket account.
Step 3: Click on [HTML] in the left side of the post box here on the UG.
Step 4: Click on the image icon in the top right of the post entry box.
Step 5: Right click and paste the link from your photobucket account into the URL field.
Step 6: If it is a very large picture, set width to a maximum of 700 so it fits right on the UG. If it is a normal sized pic, don't worry about setting width.
Step 7: Click OK at the bottom of the Image properties window.
Step 8: Click post.

Hey Hotlanta, I got your pm. Just do it the old fashioned way then. The code to embed an image is as follows.
In the regular, non-html post editor, enter the following.
<img src="http://www.photobucket.com/hotlantaspic.jpg">
And that's it. The image will be posted. If it is a very large image that will not fit properly on the UG, use the following code.
<img src="http://www.photobucket.com/hotlantaspic.jpg" width="600">
Now give us some cool pics please. :)
Thanks brother. Been trying but I don't know if the explosions and gunshots have given me a permanent brain fart but Im not doing anything right. I click OK after posting the URL and nothing happens. :(
Try manually doing it, just follow the steps in my last post. Obviously change the link to your photobucket pic link. Should work. Sounds like a browser configuration issue for the html issue thing.
If push comes to shove,go to Youtube.They have plenty of videos that explain it.

Damn it only took me 5 months to figure out how to upload pics and the help of many. To bad there is no where on the site where I can get this info, Even after I pay for a blue name.
Another thing, where do I find out the rules and regulations of the web site? Now you can't post UFC pics????
Nothing is working.... I truly appreciate and am thankful for everyones' help and I have followed the instructions to a T. My attention to detail is on point so it's something else here.
Its asking for width, this and that. I was able to post a video with no problem. Might be my system....
Clicking on OK does absolutely nothing. :(

I would try what EvilMaster suggested, using the first example above. Once you get it once I believe you'll be good to go.
Sorry for troubling you guys. Tried all of it. It wont even paste the URL directy on the text. Clicking OK is like clicking NO Way.
Not a big deal, just frustrated how I renewed my Security Clearance with the Govt today and cannot post fuckin pictures on this site. Ugh! Frustrated Incorporated. :)
