So Zuffa has bought out Pride .. and no word on any events coming up .. so what the hell did Zuffa really buy? Was it an attempt to just monopolize MMA or ??? What's the real story here?
The real story is, they are working hard on it right now. And once they get there shit together, we'll start getting news on what there plans are. Probably a few weeks till a month away before any real press releases start floating out. Maybe sooner.
Was there ever a final official word on the purchase price?
I doubt you will see another Pride card in Japan or even a regular UFC
presence. Buy up the Pride DVD series and keep it in a safe place. Sadly,
the greatest era in MMA history is over.
first, anybody that believes they paid 68 mil is flat-out stupid. second, prides business practices made it virtually impossible for them to continue even under new ownership. there will never be another pride event
the numbers i got from fightopinion was 12-13 mil
