Pride GP Paychecks?

My friend and I were wondering last Sun night:

1. How much do you get paid to appear in the GP?

2. To advance to 2nd round?

3. To advance to finals?

4. To win finals?

5. How much did Colman win for the 1st GP?

Thanks guys!

thanks for the info, meathook.

1. How much do you get paid to appear in the GP

Different for each fighter..negotiable

2. To advance to 2nd round?

see answer to #1

3. To advance to finals?

see answer to #2

4. To win finals?

approx  $ 215,000 American dollars.

Novak - I am not surprised that different fighters get offered different money to appear, but the 2nd round? I'm surprised at that.

what were those amounts, though

top fo' tha' $$$

What was the sign/check they were holding up after each victory? Did that say anything about the amount they received?

As I understand it, they get a certain amount for each fight. The check that they hold up is the bonus money for winning.

For the GP, you again get money for fighting, but then the bonus for winning the championship is like $200 k

For Grand Prix 2000:

Mark Coleman - $250,000

Igor Vovchanchyn - $50,000

Kazushi Sakuraba & Kazuyuki Fujita - $30,000

That is their winning purses. Then they each would have gotten their show fee on top of that.

example :

1st round show money is between 35-95K   Win money bewteen 35-95K

good info but I need more exact info if possible please.

"good info but I need more exact info if possible please"

dont want to be specific-- confidentiality clause in the contracts I haves seen

More popular well know sucessful fighters are paid better, get more expense money, get to take along more support staff etc..

fair enough.
