You know what, i only start watching MMA in 2008 via the UFC, and since then I have watched every Pride event, but the die hard nuthuggery still bemuses me.
Dont get me wrong i loved pride, with shogun/nog being my favourite fight ever, but i still think UFC now > Pride then.

Not during the era or the night of the event. Pride is 10x better then any other mma org will ever be in terms of entertainment alone.

IMO UFC puts on better fights today total (I'm a Fitch and GSP fan though)
Pride was fucking awesome, it was a show, much like Kiss is a show and not just a concert. Yes there were snoozer Pride fights too, but there were also some of the most stacked cards in history. UFC used to stack their cards too don't get me wrong.
My issue with today's UFC, if any, is that the cards are watered down. I don't get the stacked card feel anymore. That Super Saturday card shoulda been stacked top to bottom you know. I miss the days of cards that make you feel like money was well spent.
