so much top talent and matchups it's sick.
UFC has
Sylvia, Arvloski, Monson, Vera and the rest are C level.
Pride has Fedor, Nog, Cro Cop, Barnett, Alex, Hunt, TK, Rizzo, Yvel, Yoshida, Werdum, Overeem, Fujita, Thompson, Zentsov, Nastula, Kharitonov, Coleman and some cans to feed them.
And still the UFC doesn't pick up fighters who would love to fight in the UFC, guys like drago, antonio, silva, tom erikson and a whole bunch of others that the ufc doesn't seem to want to pick up or take a risk on. Instead they'd rather dish out Sylvia vs Arvloski 5 on PPV.
I didn't say they were all superior but the fact still stands that the depth of pride's heavyweight division and the competition within it just blows the UFC to shreds.
Did you watch the Thompson fight, he has improved 3 fold on what he looked like before. He gassed after dominating the action against a seasoned competitor in Fujita. A bit more cardio and he might not have lost that fight. Kharitonov is not overrated, he lost to overeem after dislocating his shoulder, he did the same thing against werdum and still won the fight.
The UFc has no viable contenders for Sylvia at the moment besides arvloski again. You could have monson who looked like dog shit against a horrible striker in cruz and vera does look promising but that's about it.
