I actually think TODAY’s broke down, semi-retired Shogun is a nightmare match for Jiri. That fight’s 50-50 IMO. If Shogun hit Jiri with any of the shots that Glover landed, it’s lights out.

Probably Jiri because today’s hybrid outfighting style was unknown back then.

The style of chute boxe revolves around stalking and pouncing immediately and never letting go once on top. Against a larger opponent who’s also nimbler on the feet that’s disadvantageous. Shogun’s bread and butter, the plum is also not as effective because Jiri is good in the whole clinch department, as well as being bigger and lankier.
