Privates with Chris Leben.

So, I signed up for a private training session with Chris Leben. I was wondering, has anyone here done privates with Leben before?
I was curious, so I can kind of know what to expect.
Does he just go over technique? Or does he do sparring too?
Or is it pretty much left up to the individual?

If anyone has any details, let me know.

Thanks.

ttt for info on Chris' "Privates"

He charges $100 per hour.

That's what I'm curious to find out about. I'm wondering if he's just going to go over technique, and if so, what?

I am also wondering if we're going to be doing any sparring.

I'd make sure 'spritzing' is on the training agenda before cutting him a check.

Never done a private, but when I was taking classes at Team Quest, Leben was usually teaching them. I thought he was a really good teacher. Got to roll with him a couple times too. I even made him bleed, lol.

Haha right on.

Is he pretty laid back? Or is he more of a hard ass when he's teaching? Just curious so I can get some kind of idea.

And yes, I'll definatley make sure that spritzing is apart of the agenda before I even think about cutting him a check.

Right on. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, seriously. I decided to get a private with him because we don't live too far from each other, plus I like him as a fighter. I figure I can learn a lot from him during that hour and a half.

how do you contact him for the private lessons? I don't live to far from Seattle.

You can contact him through his website

As I was TRYING to say, before this damn computer sent my messages (for some reason, even though I didn't even come close to hitting enter)

The private lesson isn't until April 30th.

Does he hold rank in any specific MA?

Ask him to show you his toe stomps, those are pretty brutal. Maybe he could teach you to punch slow and sloppy also? Goodluck.

You can e-mail chaz@lockflow.com for information about privates with Chris. Serious inquiries only though. I have known Chris for quite a while now and he is definitely underrated (especially on the ground). He had a brawler rep from how he likes to fight, but I'm sure all of you know fighters are always different in the gym than in the ring. I know from talking with him he is one of those guys who just likes to fight. It doesn't matter who or where. I got a lot of respect for him and definitely anyone who is up in the Washington/Seattle area should take the opportunity to do a private with him. I've seen him go with some filthy grapplers and shut them out completely. I saw him go with a grappler who took 2nd place in Abu Dhabi and Chris looked to be dominating the entire match. I don't think either of them tapped but Chris rolled with him with ease. Anyways hope this info helps.

P.S. He likes his privates to bring a notepad to the session. Helps to remember the details of what they learn.
