This is silly, it's the players killing themselves on the field to get the win. They deserve the trophey first like in hockey. I dont know how other sports do it, but the players should come first here.

Unlike the Stanley cup, I'm pretty sure it's a different trophy each year. The trophy just goes in the team display case. Actually, I'm pretty sure the NHL is the exception rather than the rule. Most sports from high school on up, team championship trophies always go to the school/organization.
