This past Saturday by Prof. Tom Reusing. I went white to purple through him, was a nomad for about 5 years and now have moved back to the area. It's weird to say I'm a brown belt. It always seemed so far away.
Congratulations, man!
Brother. I know the feeling. Got my brown in 2011. Congrats my man! Remembered starting Jits under a 2 stripe purple and was amazed he had a purple. Never imagined ever having a "brown belt." Once I got to purple.... I knew that day would come, as jiu Jitsu became a huge part of my life and I knew it wouldn't end anytime soon. When I got my brown, I was like, "HOLY FUCK, why am I not freaking out?!"
It's still surreal when I think about it, but the "meh, it's just a belt" thing clearly developed around mid purple. I wear that shit with pride, but when I hear someone say "wow you're a brown belt?!" I more or less respond with, "yea... But I know a handful of guys that will still tap me out over and over and over.
Congratulations brother.
Congrats bro!! Hope you guys are enjoying the move!
I know exactly how you feel because I recently got the 3rd stripe on my white belt. So legit.
I KID, I KID. Congrats to you, brother. I'm super happy for you!!!!
Congratulations. I am sorry that we won't see you fighting in the SE anymore, but good luck out west
Congrats!

Thanks everyone! I've had some great teachers along the way.
And I'll say this still, the more Jiu Jitsu I learn, the more I know that I don't know shit
