Proof Rosenthal gave Brock favoritism

Watch the end of Hazelett/Story and tell me Josh didn't give Brock a break in his fight against Carwin. Dustin is covering up just like Brock (forearms over face) in a turtle position as Rick throws punches. Rosenthal yells, "Fight back, fight back" quickly before stepping in a second later. In fact, Hazelett is moving his position to his back as Josh comes in to stop in. Guess you only get the benefit of time if you be Brock. ;-)

Hazelett was done. Nice try though.

If he was done, why did he improve his position in accordance to the ref's command?

Hazelett/Story wasn't a PPV main event title fight.

No doubt that Brock got special treatment. Lots of fights have been stopped for less. However, I'd say that in the event of a hwt title fight with the company's biggest money maker it is somewhat justified.

Here's the gif for anyone who wants to see it. Man, Hazelett's forearms sure must be hurting today.

Brock won, get over it.

Yeah, heaven forbid we ask for some consistency.

idk looks kinda a little premature

apples to oranges.

Hazelett was getting pounded and not moving. Brock was moving and trying to get away from Carwin. Both great calls by Rosenthal.

Guess you missed the whole original post where I mentioned Rosenthal said, "Fight back, fight back" and moved in a second later. Brock got longer warnings with less movement.

epwar, go get some pussy dude. for real...

After the Brock VS Carwin fight you could call almost all stoppages in the UFC early.

I don't think the Brock fight should have been stopped but that match has now created a precedence that should be followed. Watching old fights in the UFC now make me proclaim early stoppage A LOT. They were stopped much quicker than Brock's last fight.

Carwin VS Brock has now made the fetal position a valid defence against strikes. If a fighter balls up on the ground the fight should not be stopped. Especially if most of the strikes are hitting forearms.

epwar, you are 100% wrong you tool.

I was there live and after the just and correct stoppage my josh, dustin hazelett was laying on the ground ROCKED for a good minute- minute and a half. Troll.

Hazelett was hurt bad. He took some big shots. I thought Hazelett would win this fight. My predictions were horrible for this card.

Hazelett got completely crushed dude, he didn't even get up onto the stool until after they read the result. Lesnar didn't get slammed hard half a dozen times and eat like 40 hard body shots before he went down
