I was at that show!
Yes I was there also.
I worked for the IFC & WEC but didnāt want to brag because of how many times that I have mentioned it.
Nate the Great was on that card and put on a clinic.
My old vhs dvd collection was world class
Yeah,Nate told me to fuck off when I was telling & showing him where to go to get introduced and walkout.
Wow lol, I met him at his (former?) gym pits academy when I was thinking about switching clubs but aurora was too far for me and he couldnāt have been nicer.
Nate: āFuck off donāt tell me where to goā
Did you sell it off when fight pass came out?
I was actually trying to find my taped PPVs like UFC 22 but I only found those. Something cool about having them on VHS with the old school art work. Takes me back to the Hollywood Video days renting the first 10 or so events over and over again.
I had a giant duffel bag full of UFC, Pride and tons of smaller shows but I was a rambling man in my 20ās and still am to a degree. At some point I had to ditch it in a dumpster on one of my many cross country moves. There was some pretty epic shit in that dumpster. The best was Vaughn Paleli vs Aaron Brink. Vaughn went on an epic shit talking rant prefight and got straight humiliated. I wish I could find that one for old times sake.
Here is the fight but the shit talking was legendary
Also had a bunch of Super Brawl that I bought off the infomercial
" Used to go to Colusa Casino for Gladiator Challenge. A ton of big names there as well, that werenāt big names at the time. Back in the day, before this site was what it is today, I got into a ātwitter beefā withā¦fuck, I canāt even remember his name now. He used to run one of the fight teams back then. Was a CO with CDCr I believe. Fuckā¦he was somebody big back then. I donāt even remember what it was over, but I remember he was WRONG!!!"
Calpurnia Worsham?
That is a classic
I still have my shirt that Kazja gave me after I fought there the first time.
Saboba was cool. I fought a heavyweight fight there when I weighed about 170lbs. They were looking for someone to stand in for a no show and Kimo told them Iād do it. I had to run to my car, finish my beer and grab my shorts lol.
Also, we had a couple OG meetups at the Beverly Hills JJ club. I was still wrestling competitively and worked out with Kerr and rolled with Oleg a couple times along with many others I donāt remember.
I was interviewed for an article in Details magazine regarding 52 Blocks.
Rickson by armbarā¦ but to be fairā¦ Iām not old school. Iām a TUF Noob
I watched Tank knock Matua into a living death live on PPV before anyone knew what a living death was.
