Good article ..... Thx

I read the first bit, and i'll read the rest later. Seems like a good article.

This comes at a good time. I just had two bad beats in a row at my last game.

It was a live game; and one hand i had A-Q and the other guy had A-9. He was all in pre-flop.

He Flops a 9

Four hands later I'm all in with K-10 and the chip leader puts in half his chips to call. He had K-4 (why did he call!?)

Anyways he flops a 4.

Man that game pissed me off.

Why were you all in with a marginal hand like K-10 ??

Probably because you had so little chips it was worth taking a shot at busting you.

"Four hands later I'm all in with K-10 and the chip leader puts in half his chips to call. He had K-4 (why did he call!?)"

I was on the button, everyone folds except for the guy with K-4. I was fairly short stacked too. We started with 1500 in chips and i was down to 1200. The guy i re-raised had 3000-3500 in chips.

I guess he saw that i was a smaller stack and decided to bluff me out, so he made a marginal raise. I know this player fairly well so i figured i had him beat.

I re-raised all-in.

He made the call hoping for a coin toss i guess.

I will admit it was a fairly weak all-in on my part but i read this guy perfectly. It was such a weak raise on his part.

Makes sense..... been there.
