Pulled my right butt muscle

1st I pulled it diving for a ball in softball Sunday, than on Tuesday while training, I was shooting a double leg and my partner sprawled and I aggravated it again. What do you recommend to heal? Should I totally rest it till it's fine, or just do light workouts? I had Thai boxing on monday and it seemed fine.

Avoid having it repeatedly pounded... this may prove difficult
