i have pretty much tried every variation(grip) when it comes to pullups and although they are very effective at building your back/forearm, they leave me with bad wrist pain in my right hand....it actually is bad enough to where it interferes with my other workouts...wtf, is there anything i can do about it or am i just not built to do pullups??
maybe wrap your wrists? not sure if that will help or not, just a guess.
my problem is pain in my (left) elbow after EVERY set...any advice on that?
try assissted pullups, mayby stand on a chair or something for a while then go back to normal, or if you want to build forearm muscle you can grab a barbell and rest your arms on your knees and do some wrist curls.
kanedog - try stretching out your wrist extensors and flexors, they may be tight and therefore the extensor/flexor tendons may be aggravated (they are near your elbow).

you knows it
mmanewguy - thank you!
8/22 - so far so good. the stretches seemed to have helped, thanks again.
