Put Rogan out to pasture already

Oliveira is a great fighter obviously but other than two submission attempts he was dominated by Arman and the fact that it was a split decision was laughable. Both Rogan and especially DC have always had a hard on for Oliveiria and it was blatantly obvious in their horrendous biased commentary during the fight.

Even Adelaide Byrd got it right! Lol

They really aren’t. Many choose to find things they don’t like about their commentary and act as if they are terrible. They literally are not. They do a fantastic job. I didn’t say perfect, but that is a world class commentating crew whether you like it or not.

I wish they offered PPVs with no commentary at all. Just sounds from the octagon. That would be cool.

I’ve been wanting this for yeeeeeears! I seem to vaguely remember that was exactly how a lot of the original Pancrase events were. And I absolutely loved it. I don’t need the idiotic, “let me tell you what you’re thinking right now” bullshit.

I was at a party last night for the event so I had no choice but when I watch at home I simply put the mute button on.

Great fights and all you’re worried about is the commentating.

flippy, are you too emotionally invested in some other fighters and feel like the crew is rooting against your guy?

this is the same with the millions of people who insist joe buck hates abc and loves xyz. and vice versa.

Quite the contrary. It’s Joe who is too emotionally invested.

Jesus Christ, your tv has a mute button for a reason dude.

I want the sounds of the fight.

he might have biases, but he’s not typically emotionally invested in one guy over another. you say he was stroking justin last night, but at the same time, he could not have been more excited when the knockout happened.

It was the most exciting finish that I’ve seen in the UFC since idk when. I would hope he could get up for it. Lol

Rogan’s not going anywhere unless he wants to. Dana for all his faults has shown time and again that he’s loyal to his people. Rogan’s been there since the beginning and is still enthusiastic about the sport to this day.

He also happens to be the most popular podcast personality by far, and theres not a single episode where he doesn’t talk about the UFC. You can’t buy marketing like that. Rogan could probably take a shit in the cage at the next fight and they still wouldn’t fire him. He’s the most powerful 5’3" man in the world.

Also, Rogan being biased towards bjj and calf kicks is nothing new, why is it an issue all of a sudden?

bottom line, he wasn’t rooting for the other guy.

I like Rogan, does he hang on fighters nuts too much sometimes? Yes. But he’s an OG MMA/UFC guy, he loves the sport. Im a fan

Rogan has been mediocre at best for the last 5 years.

That would cool but not gonna happen for a few hardcores and they wouldn’t be able to promote whatever they wanna promote.

It’s not. This thread is definitely a retread for me. Lol
