Quebec AC in Zuffa's pocket

1. They allow GSP to weigh-in over 170 for their championship fight (http://www.mmafighting.com/2013/3/26/4149886/nick-diazs-camp-to-file-complaint-over-georges-st-pierres-ufc-158)

2. The Unified Rules that the UFC uses are apparently illegal under Quebec's "mixed boxing" rules, including hitting opponents with bent knees or elbows, hitting the knee, continuing to fight after a knockdown, standing chokes/submissions etc. (http://combatsportslaw.com/2014/04/11/quebecs-mixed-boxing-rules-still-on-the-books-for-tuf-nations-finale/)

3. UFC contracts apparently also violate Quebec's rules. For example, the rules  prohibit fighter contracts with durations longer than 2 years and require the renegotation of pay if a fighter takes part in a championship bout. (http://combatsportslaw.com/2015/04/07/do-ufc-contracts-comply-with-quebecs-legal-requirements/)

they have video of a UFC official coming over to nick and saying they were allowing an allowance of up to + .9, which isnt provided for in the fighter contracts or under the Quebec rules

there is evidence that the quebec rules were a bit different and poorly coordinated but no one has accused GSP of weighing above 170.0 if i remember correctly.

So what you're saying is that you don't know if he weighed in over the required limit or not. You saw a video that showed no proof. Phone Post 3.0

the letter of the rules was no different, it was the application that was different, which appears to be a pattern with these frenchies

i am saying regardless of whether gsp weighin over, they were going to allow it despite it being inconsistent with their contracts or the letter of the law

Quebec is beautiful. Cheap beer hot dames. Quebec City is a great spot.

My point is that Quebec marches to their own beat for better or worse. Phone Post 3.0

Which ACs are not in the UFC's pocket? Because the great majority of them round down, yes even in title fights. Do you really want to get embarassed over that again?

who let orcus out his cage?

Montreal, from Rue St-Denis and west to Vaudreuil is also a different planet than the rest of Quebec.

You mean the same rules that say no striking with bent elbows or contracts longer than 2 years? lol. clearly they weren't following their rules from the get go so why cry over .9 when bent knees and elbows were used too? That seems like a much more egregious violation of Quebec's sacred MMA laws.
