Are Severn and Tito the only guys who have ever actually taken Ken down?
I mean Ken has been on his back in other fights but it was always from a knockdown IIRC.
Anyone?
I can't think of any instances at the moment but I'm looking now. I know Ken was put on his back quite a few times during scrambles in fights (Royce, Kimo for example) but I can't recall him getting taken down. Weird.
Either way, I'm looking.

Severn never took Shamrock down. In the second fight, Shamrock defended the first takedown, but sat to a guillotine to his back instead and then when Severn passed his legs Shamrock scrambled back to his feet. Then, he reversed Severn into full mount the next time Severn shot.

Back in the day this is true...but I bet Gray Maynard could get Ken down nowadays...even the cooked version of Tito was slamming Ken like it was 2002.

Gray is a three-time all American who could take down almost every man of Ken's age on the planet, so no shame in that
I think Severn had a cement-mixer on him as time expired in their second fight, not that it counts (both the takedown and the fight).
BAck in the day I have to agree that Kens wrestling was underated as well as his strength. I think on his Ultimate Shamrock vid he made mention that he wanted to see if Severn could throw or take him down.
