he has improved because he is starting to understand the game and knows what he is good at and wont let you take him where he isnt. he cross trains, does grappling tournaments and is open to learning, remember he isnt young and is by no means trying to make this a career, he fights because he likes to fight..lol and is just a guy with power and heart.. similiar to a gary goodrich.. not to much technical skill but he will fight till he cant fight no more, i never trained with manny nor do i know him personally so this is all by observation.
