Question fellow legal monded ogers

I have someone close to me that works aomewhere id rather not say but my question is. Can her manager tell other employees about her having lets say diabetes? Saying my friend is lying cause they arent fat but have diabetes. This is without any permission to tell anyone their medical information.  I think the manager is actually going to get fired but i was wondering is that illegal? Or just not moral?

I thought it might but I coukdnt seem to find out for sure. When the corporate person was told all this stuff the manager does (horrible manager btw) they listened and as soon as the heakth thing was beought up they atopped the call right then and said i have to talk to you in person and it will have to be recorded (on film) with a third person there. Found out the third person will be company lawyer. Im sure there just to protect the company. Idk if she ahoukd talk to a lawyer or what. Also she talked to a fellow worker and found out that the manager is getting fired though it wasn’t said for that its for “many things”. Yet it seems they want to wait for a new hire before they fire and may want my friend to transfer about 30 mins away or so. She doesn’t know that before but a friend who also works there said they saw transfer papers but no name on them. Of course she doesn’t want to do that and really shouldn’t have to. Idk what she will do she is auppose to talk to the higher ups with the lawyer tomorrow and find out more info

Depends on how the mgr learned/gained access to the information. Still illegal but not necessarily a violation.

OP- Tell your "friend" HR is never on your side. If they want you in a room for what sounds like a video deposition, only a fool would walk into that without at least discussing it with representation.

Thats what i was thinking she needs to talk to someone first. Its a female though and she knows the corporate lady and doesn’t want to cone off like she is trying to sue or something and then they railroad her i guess. Its been said already the manager is getting fired now. That said unless they think they coukd get in some kind if serious trouble why would they want to do all that stuff? Sounded like a deposition to me as well. Also she has even been there that long like 4 months but never missed a day and cane in to help out on days off stayed late at times. She was late a couple times but the fact she stayed late for them and came in for people shae bailed them out quite a but in that short time. Anyway how this all really got rolling was she called said she be a few mins late cause her uniform was drying. The manager said just come in. When she got there the manager suspended her for 10 days!! It was also later found out the manager wasnt even allowed to do that. She could have suspended her for 3 wven though it woukd have been totally unfair still but she had that right but she didn’t she did ten days!!  Again the higher uo corporate said ahe wasnt allowed to do that. So thats how alot if other stuff came out including the mesical stuff and she said the corporate lady stopped the conversation right then and said we have to do this in oerson recorded with a third party. Sounds like they think something is serious.

Lol at being late already being there only 4 months. You, I mean your friend is a loser

How dare you insinuate this man is lying about his friend existing. This man as anyone's friend will pay unique attention to every detail in every part of their life and will take it upon himself to reach out for the help of others in a mad lightning fingered display of typing in a moment of despair.
