Do you think he would have made it this far without it?
the better question is "Does it serve him well moving forward?".
his attitude and fighting style is why he has a large following and why he also gets paid well
he would never have gotten this far without it, and from what he said about opportunities in Stockton not far in life either.
kill joy - Do you think he would have made it this far without it?
No. Not even close.
A guy who's been beating nothing but C and B level opponents in the minor leagues for years on end would not have gotten a fight in the UFC with the greatest welterweight in the history of the sport (since he was supposed to fight GSP until he fucked it up) if he didn't have some rabid cult-like following on the internets made up of angry teenagers, 30 year old adolescents, and pro wrassling fans.
And it also helps that the President of the UFC is also the President of the Nick Diaz Fan Club.
you don't have to have a bad attitude to train hard and fight tough.
I thought the question was going to be 'Who the fuck to you think you are!?'
I was wrong.
*do...
I think he would've made it further.
Having a immature bad attitude while playing the victim card does nothing for anyone involved.
It's why people don't like him. That really is the ONLY reason. He'd have way more fans and people would give him a chance.
He is his own worst enemy.
bad role model... thats all.
i dont want my kids acting like that snot face brat, unappreicative, disrespectful ect..
Hell, take a look at all of the people that do make far...none of them share his attitude.

he doesn't have a bad attitude
he's never been arrested, he isn't a gang banger, he doesn't like the party life style, he isn't into hard drugs or alcohol
he's into clean natual living(natural weed), vegetarian, triathlons, he's into the martial arts, he values loyalty to his teachers and team, all great qualities IMO
Are you guys kidding?
He's just an updated and more abrasive version of Tito.
Were you guys not watching the Tito era of MMA?
Not what he became later on, what he used to be around 1999.
hubris -OnlyTheStrongSurvive - you don't have to have a bad attitude to train hard and fight tough.
he doesn't have a bad attitude
You are as high as he is if you honestly think this. That or you're trolling.
It's more of a persona.

I never said he was a criminal, but his attitude is terrible. Constantly complaining, shows no respect, does whatever he wants. Its a bad attitude. I respect his toughness, work ethic, loyalty and all those things. Respect it a lot. But the attitude is not good.
