Question on: UFC 92 Programming Line-Up...

not that it matters since both fights are to be on the televised card,

but why would the UFC show Page vs Wandy III before CB's fight?

Isn't 3 before 4?

Fight 1 would be the Main Event, Rashad vs Forrest.

Fight 2 would be the Co-Main Event, Nog vs Mir.

And Fight 3 is scheduled to be CB vs Massenzio.

With Page vs Wandy II being placed as Fight 4.

And Fight 5 is Kongo vs Al-Something. I dont remember.

It's just a weird choice in placement, imo.

uh..

UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008 - Full Fight Card (UFC.com)

CB/Massenzio just breaks up the 3 big fights. It's smart.

That's a great card.

I hate it. Those 3 big fights need to be in a row imo.

I think it is a timing issue.  They will show fights 5 and 4 first, and if those two fights happen to go the distance they may just skip to fights 2 and then 1.  Since the two main events are 5 round title fights, they want to make sure they have time for them.  I'm pretty sure this happened in one other show.  After they showed the main event they had enough time and had the other bout (I think they called it the swing bout).  The fight happens no matter what, but if time looks tight they actually make them wait until after the main event(s).

Ok, just my guess.

Your thinking of UFC 73 where KenFlo / Robinson was shown after Silva / Nate since the first 3 fights went to decision including the Sherk / Franca 5 rounder.

ttt

what a great card, even Lister vs Okami should be a great fight. Agreed, it's looks weird even having the Dollaway vs Massenzio on the main card with all the more accomplished fighters.

disbeliever - I brought this up a month ago and was attacked for it lol

lol

Yep, that's the one.  I thought it was a card with Silva on it, but I couldn't think of who was in the fight they showed after.
