R.I.P. - Luna Vachon

thats too bad.

flesheatingbull -  and this is why pro wrestling is bullshit. rip.

The fact that she took her own life after losing everything in a fire last week is why pro wrestling is bullshit?  I'm well aware of the problems in this industry, but you are making quite the leap here IMO.

Such a dirty, disgusting business.

Interesting fact was that her son competed on Hells Kitchen, season 6. His name was Van.

RIP Luna

I remember Van, season before last.  He finished in top 5-6.

Wow Vann was her son?  That's interesting.

Back to the topic - these people know exactly what they're getting into.  No one forces them to do anything, if they don't like it they can do something else.  Yeah it's a tough business and dangerous, and once they make it to the top, they're well compensated, and they all love doing it anyway.  Look at someone like Mick Foley, his body is totally shot to all hell, he can't even walk normally anymore, he has enough money to stop, but he still does it every so often because he loves it.

PS: I was eating lunch at a place in Suffolk County not far from where Mick lives, and he came in and sat at the booth next to me, very cool.  On the way out I told him I didn't want to bother him for a photo or autograph since he was with his family but I just wanted to shake his hand and thank him for the years of entertainment - he was cool about it, very cool guy.

brahmabull81 - Its fucking lame that bitch Linda Mcmahon is doing well in her bid for office because those scumfucks fucked a lot of these people up for life. People that are fired from the WWE compare it to a carnival, and for good reason.

They literally burn out every performer they have if given enough time in the company, then are discarded... only to be welcomed back to their "wellness" program when they are already fucked to hell (see Scott Hall, dude needed help 15 years ago).

While i can understand the questioning of the WWE's business practices, I can't at all understand how some people blame them for people dying. Everyone should be accountable for themselves. If ppl choose to roid non stop, benge drink, do other drugs, its on them. Personal responsibility and accountability is a good thing.
They should have an off season though like other sports bc those guys go through it year round. Like a 3 month dead period. Vinny Mac won't ever allow that, which would result in roughly a 20% drop in business annually.

RIP.
