Racer X- can u straighten a neck?

can you do that stuff? rather than finding a replacement, hopefully the one I have can be straightened out...I don't think it's in too bad shape-


Is it twisted or just has too much bow in it? Describe the relationship to the strings. Does the neck curve away in the middle? This can usually be fixed with an adjustable truss rod. If the neck is back bowed,that is a whole 'nother problem.

I'll chech it out tonight, if I remember it has a slight twist-

Hold the guitar in playing position. Press the low E at the first fret and at the 17th fret with your other hand. Check the gap between the bottom of the string and the 8th fret. Compare this to the high E string. If there is a much bigger gap on one side you probably have a twist(assuming the frets are well seated). Tough to deal with,but possible to work out sometimes.
