Crazy how calm Rafa was the whole time.

I thought Rafa clearly won, but where did he get the 3 points, I missed it.
Rafa clears Paulo's legs at 7:07, locks on a loose head scissors with the hand in, and gets the points at 7:10.
Rafa would have won on advantages anyway, but those pass points were BS.
xpat - Rafa clears Paulo's legs at 7:07, locks on a loose head scissors with the hand in, and gets the points at 7:10.
Loose? Come on man, that wasn't loose. He was trying hard to crank Paulos neck, you can clearly see that.
If you have to open the legs for a 50/50 sweep, then he should have had to open his legs here.
Rafa clearly won. Also, while I am also not a huge fan of the butt flop, there was clear action and grip fighting while they were in double guard pull. I think the fact that many are not educated in the berimbolo, the grips, its defenses, etc. often makes it look like there is less action than there really is. Like someone without any knowledge trying to watch a match; they find JJ boring in general (even pretty exciting matches), because they don't understand what is happening. With that sai,d I am not a butt flop fan as I believe matches should mimic an actual fight more.
On another note, apparently the Mendes Storm gi deal has run its course and they are now sponsored by Shoyoroll. Huge surprise. lol
Not saying Rafa shouldnt have won, but that match was alot closer than some people would be admitting to admit, and those pass points were bogus, he should've gotten no more than an advantage for what he'd done.
If I'm not mistaken the guard pass rules changed several years ago from pinning someone for 3 seconds to clearing the legs and "in control" for 3 seconds(in most cases when they are on their side). Where's Hilary at? In that case, it's a legit pass.
Rafa was in control the whole time. The way he shutdown Miyao's left leg to prevent the DLR was brilliant. He definitely analyzed their game before hand and took advantage when opportunity presented itself.
