Rampage Jackson already has additional movie offers

By: Jesse Holland
“It’s cool doing this movie! It is fun, but lots of work. I am playing a character that I thought was the coolest man alive growing up. I used to walk around my house pretending I was B.A. Baracus, reciting his lines to my family and friends. It proves to me how good God is. I can’t say [when I'll fight next]. I have other movie offers already and I really miss my kids, it’s a lot easier on your family doing movies then at a ten week fight camp. I really have to think things through. I’m not saying that I don’t want to fight (but) we’ll see what the future holds.”
–Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson checks in with Triumph United from the set of the new A-Team movie in Vancouver where “Rampage” is cast as B.A. Baracus in a role made famous by Mr. T in the mid 80’s. Sounds like the gravy train is making a few more stops in Memphis according to Jackson and if he does indeed have incoming movie roles not named “Midnight Meat Train 2,” it may be some time before we see the current Ultimate Fighter coach back inside the Octagon.
Good luck to him. Even if never gets a role as major as BA Baracus, he could still make a nice living by appearing in nothing but shitty, straight-to-video B movies.
I was trying to think of other 'B-movie' stars who make a living by appearing in low budget movies, so I looked up Roddy Piper. Check out how many flicks he's been in this year or that are in production:
Sin-Jin (2009) ( in production )
Spring Broke (2010) ( pre-production )
College Fright Night (2010) ( pre-production ).... Rod
Opponent (2010) ( post-production ) .... Father Melluzzo
GaymidaGaydan - Who watches those straight to DVD movies?
How do they make money?
thats like asking why people do amateur fights. Gotta get some experience in the minor leagues before they trust actors/directors with a decent budget.

The fact that the B-movie and straight-to-video industries exists proves that someone is watching them, and that there is money to be made. I'm sure international markets and widening range of TV cable outlets must be paying for this content. Pretty sure major retail outlets like Kmart, Walmart, and Target sell shitty B-movies too.
I predict that 6 months from now he will be playing in some low budget TV show playing the bad guy who is running illegal underground Cage matches, I remember Tito and Frank Shamrock both saying they are going to leave fighting to become the next Bruce Lee.
Secret Service - Rampage is about to blow up, you haters can hate
L.O.L.
A-Team will bomb at the box office.
Doesn't really matter if movie bombs or not. He gets paid and will enjoy all the networking and benefits of pre-release publicity regardless of the movie's financial success.

a heel Piper is my all-time WWF character. the mid-eighties he was the bomb.
that being said, i don't care what movies he's in. if i happen upon one that's cool. if not, oh well. i'm not going out of my way to check out "Rowdy" Roddy Piper movies.
as for Rampage, the guys a fighter. he could do the Piper bit and become irrelevant if he wants, but i don't think Rampage's fans are going to pay to see movies just to see him. he's not gonna get paid like a star actor because his FANS are NOT going to flock to his movies to see him act, they WILL however flock to see him fight.
