From Sherdog
Quinton Jackson has re-signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship following three wins in Bellator MMA.
The UFC is expected to make the announcement during the main card of UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Dollaway,” but Sherdog.com’s Jeff Sherwood confirmed the news with sources close to the situation that the 36-year-old has signed a contract to return to the Octagon in 2015.
Meanwhile, a Bellator official told Sherdog.com that Jackson is in fact still “100-percent under contract” with the promotion.
Jackson parted ways with the UFC following three straight losses to Jon Jones, Ryan Bader andGlover Teixeira. “Rampage” later signed with Bellator later in 2013 and was slated to face Tito Ortiz in his promotional debut, but an Ortiz injury nixed those plans. Instead, Jackson debuted against Joey Beltran at Bellator 108, winning via technical knockout. Since then, Jackson has fought twice more for the promotion, defeating Christian M’Pumbu and Muhammed Lawal.
